【本時のねらい】

・コンピューテーショナルシンキングがどのようなものかを理解する。

・コンピュータを使わずに、プログラミング思考の大切さについて共感できる。

・論理的に考える力を養う。

・「コンピュータで処理されるのと同じプロセスでＰＤＣＡをまわす・人に指示を出すなどは大切である」

    ということが楽しんで体験できる。

　次回はＳＴＥＡＭ教育の体験です。プログラミングで簡単な図形をかいてみるので、今回の学びを次時の

興味関心につなげます。

20250606 Kashima Time Presentations  Third year students held presentations to report on the projects they’ve been working on since last year. Presentations were held in front of small groups, large groups or entire seminar groups depending on the seminar. Many students used Kashima Time to get a head start on their fields of study in university, while others chose topics of personal interest.

令和７年６月４日（水）１時間目　高校１年次教室

 高校１年次の生徒を対象に、ベネッセの方をお招きして、マナビジョン活用講座が実施されました。

「スタディサポート」等の成績を生徒各自が閲覧する方法や、マナビジョン内の模擬試験対策動画を活用する方法などを説明いただきました。

令和７年度薬物乱用防止教室　令和７年６月３日（火）７時間目　本校体育館

 高校１年次と附属中２学年の生徒を対象に、薬物乱用防止教室が実施されました。

日本薬科大学の先生から講義をいただき、薬学の観点から違法薬物の危険性と市販薬の正しい知識等について学びました。貴重なお話をありがとうございました。

20250602　午後１時30分より水戸会場（水戸プラザホテル）にて、高校生対象の大学・短期大学・専門学校の進学相談会（入場無料）が行われました。

　このイベントは栄美通信及び茨城新聞社が主催し、県教育委員会、県高校長協会及び県私学協会が後援して、毎年行われているものです。本校２年次生徒全員がクラスごとに主催側から配車されたバスで現地に向かい参加しました。

　生徒たちは興味のある学校担当者が控えるブースへ行き、各大学等の丁寧な説明・対応を聞いて熱心にメモを取る姿勢が見られました。

　関係者の皆様、お世話になりました。ありがとうございました。

20250530　第６時限の鹿島タイム「探究学習」の様子です。本時よりグループ活動がスタート。事前にテーマ設定、グループのメンバーを決めてから臨みました。

20250530　１年次「鹿島タイム」の時間に、〈レイクエコー〉茨城県鹿行生涯学習センターより　社会教育主事　成田　雄介　さんをお招きして、　講演をいただきました。　

ボランティア活動とは何か、また、高校生が学校の枠を超え、地域課題に取り組むプロジェクトの紹介など、映像を活用して講演をいただきました。講演終了後、代表生徒がお礼の言葉を述べました。

20250528  Third year students had the opportunity to talk to representatives from over 50 universities, colleges, technical schools, and more regarding their chosen post-high school plans.

There are a lot of possibilities out there, some better than others, some easier than others, some just plain challenging! Take your time to really think about it, and then choose wisely.

But don’t forget these famous words from a man who actually found success:

20250527  Do you know how many foreigners there are on the KHS & JHS teaching team? There are now...

...wait for it...

...FIVE foreigners on the team! Yes, you read that right. Five foreigners! That is the most foreigners on staff of any public school in Ibaraki.

So, who are they? Where do they come from? Are they human, alien or android? 

Let's take a look starting from the newest member, and working our way back.

Benjamin-sensei:

Hello! My name is Benjamin and I’m from Minneapolis, Minnesota. I went to the University of Minnesota, where I studied sustainable development and global policy. My favorite things about Japan are the kind people, countless mountains, and abundant sushi. Please enjoy your year!

Arie-sensei:

Hi! I’m Arieboke Koma — a curious soul born in Zimbabwe in the early '90s, now working and exploring life in Japan. In 2015, I graduated from university with a Bachelor’s degree in Social Science. I have the ability to speak over five languages.I enjoy watching movies on Netflix during my spare time.Traveling to new places around Japan always excites me. Oritsu Beach is my current favorite spot in Kashima.This is where the sea breeze feels refreshing and peaceful.

Justine-sensei:

Hi everyone! I’m Justine, and I’m from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. I went to school at Stevenson University in Maryland, where I studied biology. My favorite things about Japan are the incredible nature, fresh food, and gashapons! I wish you all a great year!

Oliver-sensei:

I was born in Louisville, Kentucky. I graduated from Hanover College in 2023 with a bachelors in Political Science. I came to Japan directly after I graduated, and have been an ALT for almost 2 years. I enjoy playing video games, trying new foods, and learning about the Japanese language and the culture surrounding it.

Kivi-sensei:

Born in Finland, raised in Canada, I will bury my bones here in Japan sometime in the distant future. I graduated from Trinity Western University in Canada with a Bachelor's in Geography Major with a Concentration in English Literature. I’ve been in Japan for over 30 years, and love almost everything about the country. In my free time, I like watching movies, listening to music and reading. On sunny on days off, I enjoy going for long rides on my motorcycle. Let's have a fantastic year!

20250523  A send-off was held for members of the Japanese Archery Club and theTrack & Field Club as they head off to the Kanto District Competition and th Northern Kanto District Competition. 

20250524 「みんなのスポーツフェスタ in KASHIMA」（カシマスポーツセンター　10:00～12:00）

本校KLCを中心に、本校生15人がボランティア活動に参加しました。

参加された方々を丁寧に案内したり、体験活動をサポートしたりするなど、積極的に活動しています。

20250523　５時限の鹿島タイム「探究」の授業にて、鹿嶋市の協力を得て、市役所まちづくり出前講座６講座を開催しました。

20250517 Open lessons were held for parents and guardians taking an interest in their children's education at KHS and the Attached JHS, after which a representative from Kashima Police gave a lecture on bicycle helmet safety, which was then followed by the PTA General Meeting. As with last year, the junior high classes were of great interest, judging by the number of parents and guardians observing them. Compared to last year's event, attendance was much higher than in previous years, as almost every open space on campus aside from the soccer pitch and the baseball diamond was being used as parking space.
